The Taxation Disciplinary Board (TDB) is an independent body that manages the complaints and disciplinary scheme for members and students of the Chartered Institute of Taxation and the Association of Taxation Technicians.
Established in 2001, the TDB operates in the public interest to uphold high professional standards across the tax profession through fair, impartial and transparent procedures.
The TDB handles complaints efficiently and independently, ensuring disciplinary matters are reviewed by legally qualified, professional and lay panel members, while providing clear guidance and accessible processes for both complainants and members.
The TDB:

- Supports and maintains the high professional standards of the CIOT and ATT
- Handles complaints quickly, impartially and effectively
